Your mission
We are looking for an experienced Hard Surface Artist, passionate about creating games. For our new project we are aiming for a realistic visual style, with flexibility to adapt to other styles in future opportunities.

You will collaborate with a talented group of artists to develop content for an existing game.
We are looking for an Expert in hard surface modelling, able to produce props of any size in AAA FPS quality standards, familiar with all common texturing techniques.

In particular you will:

  • create any kind of asset from small props to bigger, more complex objects
  • produce high-quality, fully textured 3D assets from concept briefs and descriptions to final product
  • collaborate closely with the Art Director and Environment Art Lead to guarantee the visual quality of your work
  • troubleshoot asset creation and maintain the required specification such as frame rate, memory, poly budgets etc.
  • work closely with Level Design to ensure the objects are suitable for gameplay
Your profile
  • You are self motivated and you can carry out the vision until completion
  • You have several years experience creating 3D game assets, and your versatility enables you to create hard surfaces objects of any kind
  • You master relevant software packages such as Maya/3dsMax/Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer & Painter, Zbrush
  • You are familiar with game engines
  • You have a strong understanding of physical-based shaders
  • You have good communication skills in English
  • You have a strong team working mindset -  you are proactively communicating within the team, you can give and ask for feedback, and you will report to your Lead on a regular basis
  • You have professional experience working on at least one game release (PC, Console)

Nice to have

  • Ability to create organic models if needed
  • Ability to create Biome and Vegetation Assets
  • Experience with procedural generation techniques
  • Ability to execute Level Art tasks, like set dressing

*The remuneration for the position advertised above is fixed by Austrian collective agreement. The effective salary depends on qualification and experience and may be significantly higher.
